Geotechnical Engineers: Pelham AL

Geotechnical Engineers. Perform geotechnical engineering tasks on multiple projects. Manage client contacts including the preparation of appropriately scoped subsurface exploration and construction materials testing proposals, prepare engineering reports, review plans and specifications, perform engineering calculations and develop geotechnical engineering recommendations, evaluate potential alternatives, supervise field explorations, work closely with field inspectors to assess conformance to geotechnical engineering recommendations, and assign appropriate laboratory tests.

Minimum bachelors degree in civil engineering with geotechnical emphasis (or other closely related field - geology or geological engineering) required; masters degree preferred. EIT preferred for entry level position; PE or PG and 3+ years experience required for mid to senior position. Proficiency in standard geotechnical engineering analyses and experience in a wide range of geotechnical engineering projects such as deep foundations, shallow foundations, embankments and slopes. Understanding of soil behavior as related to difficult soul conditions such as collapsible soils, expansive soils, highly reactive soils preferred. Must be US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
