Energy Efficiency/Energy Engineer: San Diego CA

Energy Efficiency Professional/Energy Engineer for the greater San Diego Metro area. * The selected candidate will work onsite at the customer's facility to provide comprehensive energy management services. Primary duties will focus on energy management, including program management services, but work will also include developing facilities energy efficiency improvements, developing distributed generation opportunities, developing renewable energy projects, providing energy training, performing design reviews, analyzing energy and utilities data, recommending improvements to utility procurement and operations, and related duties. The candidate will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. * Job Requirements: * 4-10 plus years of experience in energy management/engineering; strong HVAC background; experience with auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, commissioning, and building/system optimization is required. The candidate must either be an experienced energy manager/engineer or possess expert knowledge of one or more of the San Diego Naval installations. Previous experience working at Federal / DOD facilities, particularly at Naval installations, is a plus. A candidate with a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is preferred. * Also requires knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies and metering; excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; proficient computer skills including the use of spreadsheets; especially Excel, and other database applications is required. * BS in engineering or energy-related field is required. Must be US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
