ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER OR GEOLOGIST - MID LEVEL: Baton Rouge, LA Job Code: EMI-BR-14-SMS Division: EMI Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Category: Environmental Services Job Description: Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is currently seeking a mid-level Environmental Engineer or Geologist to work in our Baton Rouge location. This position will provide support on various environmental projects. The primary responsibilities include hazardous site assessment, permitting and regulatory compliance, and engineering support of remediation projects. Field investigations and report preparation will be required. This position works directly with clients, assists in marketing and proposal writing and works on individual projects. Job Requirements: 5-10 years experience in environmental consulting or related experience is required. A knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations is preferred. Experience with LDEQ RECAP is also preferred. An ideal candidate will have experience with remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, water resources, and contractor oversight. Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal writing and client meetings is helpful. We are looking for a highly motivated and customer focused person who works well in a team environment. To be successful you also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel and be on-call as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.
