Job Description:

Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is currently seeking an entry level Environmental Geologist, Engineer or Scientist to work in our Houston, TX location.

This position provides support on various environmental projects. Responsibilities for this position include due diligence support, hazardous site assessment, permitting and regulatory compliance, and engineering support of remediation projects. Field investigations and report preparation will be is also a requirement. Candidate will interface directly with clients, assist in marketing and proposal writing and work on individual projects.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone with 1-3 years experience in environmental consulting or related experience. Knowledge of federal and Texas environmental regulations is preferred. Experience in environmental due diligence and with TRRP rule is also a plus. Experience with remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, water resources, contractor oversight is desirable. Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal writing and client meetings is helpful.

To be successful in this position you must be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment. You must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel and be on-call as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications are essential.

Only candidates with a B.S. in Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science degree will be considered. M.S. degree preferred. 40-hour OSHA training with Hazmat preferred.

We expect this position to perform field work in a range of weather conditions. Also this position will be required to travel to project sites as needed. While on project sites light lifting and maneuvering of equipment is expected.
