We are seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer/Scientist with a background in legacy mine site remediation, mine site closure and CERCLA to join our Fort Collins, Colorado office and become an integral member of our Environmental Mining team, providing both office and field support for our private clients on nation-wide mining projects. Responsibilities: Provide support to Principals on the characterization and remedial design of legacy mine site cleanups and abandoned mine land reclamation. Work independently to perform specific site characterization tasks, including written reports, and to potentially develop design documents. Independently develop and manage sampling programs, manage the data, and interpret the results. Provide construction oversight support for a variety of projects. Interact with clients and their legal staff on a variety of CERCLA and CWA issues. Up to 25% travel required. Experience: Five to ten years of relevant experience. Strong technical capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven record of management/mentoring of junior staff. Good work ethic and positive attitude. PE or PG required. Skills Requirements: Spreadsheets and word processing skills are required; GIS skills preferred. Ability to write clear and logical technical reports. Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally and internationally. Degree Requirements: Minimum B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geosciences. M.S. Preferred.
