Our Pittsburgh, PA office is searching for an Environmental Engineering Project Manager to provide project management and technical support within the Civil Engineering Department. Primary activities will be to provide support for civil and environmental projects in accordance with RCRA, CERCLA, UST, CWA and other appropriate state and federal regulations. Candidate will perform project tasks involving site investigation, evaluation of remedial technologies (including innovative technologies), engineering design, site development design, and remediation operations on environmental projects. Activities may also include performance of field assessment and remediation activities.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Engineering Project Manager will include the following: Provide support to on-going and new projects related to civil, environmental, geotechnical, site design and development, and Brownfield projects. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of technical work as part of a total project; Prepare project proposals and successfully complete project tasks in accordance with the proposal schedule and budget; Provide direction to staff personnel to complete project tasks and also mentor junior level technical support personnel; and, Interface with Internal and Client Project Managers, government regulators, state and local jurisdictional authorities, sub-contractors and other representatives.

Job Requirements:

We require a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related Science. An advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of ten years of related experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience providing strong technical support for civil and environmental projects. Experience in interfacing with state and local agencies as well as community boards for project planning is preferred.

Candidates must have a general knowledge of civil, environmental, site development, military munitions response programs, and Brownfield requirements and regulations. Candidates must possess knowledge to successfully perform engineering activities. Candidates must be self-motivated, creative and have strong organizational, inter-personal communication, writing and presentation skills. Computer skills must include Word and Excel. Ability to use PowerPoint is strongly desired.

Pennsylvania Professional Registration (e.g., P.E.) is required.
