Responsibilities:

Tetra Tech is a leading international multidisciplinary environmental, engineering, and planning firm that offers excellent benefits and exciting career development prospects. The Fairfax, VA office is currently is seeking a Director of Drinking Water Programs. This individual will identify current and emerging opportunities in drinking water to help create and shape a new business area both domestically and internationally.

Required skills:

Familiarity with all aspects of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) including development and implementation of drinking water standards, source water protection, small and large public drinking water supply systems, underground injection control (geologic carbon dioxide sequestration, Class V wells), wellhead protection programs, watershed protection methods, treatment technologies, and analytical methods for drinking water. Demonstration of innovative approaches to problem solving required. At least 15 years experience in drinking water engineering required, including at least eight years of project management and staff supervision and development. A minimum of five years of experience managing projects of at least $10 million required. Prior marketing/client development experience essential at the local, state, and national levels. Ability to use existing relationships to grow business area a must. Expertise in working with national advocacy groups and communities concerning drinking water issues required. MS in Engineering or related discipline.
