The Golden, CO office has an immediate opening for a motivated water resources scientist or engineer with 5 to 8 years directly relevant experience to support state, federal and municipal projects involving water quality planning, watershed management, storm water management, and TMDL development and implementation planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic support on a variety of watershed and water quality management projects. This position supports a variety of water resources projects within Tetra Tech and requires a professional with the demonstrated ability to work well with others as a member of the team.

Job Requirements:

Experience Requirements: The successful candidate will have a background and degree in water resources or environmental science or engineering. Education and work experience related to TMDLs, water quality assessment, stormwater management and planning, BMP evaluation, and watershed planning required. To be considered, the candidate should possess the following: at least 5 years related experience-advanced degree preferred; demonstrated experience providing technical support for projects involving TMDL development or implementation planning or watershed planning. Because position will support development of technical products, tools, support documents, and training materials, excellent written skills are required. Experience with EPA, state, or municipal (city/county) projects required. Experience with or understanding of Clean Water Act regulations, specifically related to water quality standards, TMDL development, nonpoint source control, and permitting. The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of GIS and other technical analysis software.
