Job Description:
Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking a Principal Open Pit Mining Engineer to join our Golden office and become an integral member of our team.
Responsibilities:
Expand the open pit mining expertise of our mineral resource group; provide marketing and business development in the precious and base metal mining arena, and co-ordinate with other Mineral Resource Division staff. Travel will be required.
Experience:
Minimum of 20 to 30 years of direct open pit mine planning, scheduling, capital and operating cost estimation. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and Masters Level of education in mining engineering or related field preferred. Experience with open pit mine design and layout, scheduling, capital and operating cost estimation.
Skills Requirements:
Proficiency with the use of open pit design software, capital and operating cost estimation, mine evaluation, WORD, XCEL, and other mine design software.
Degree Requirements:
Minimum of a Master degree in mining engineering. Formal education in mineral economics is also desired.
