We are searching for an Environmental Project Manager/Office Lead who will be primarily responsible for developing, managing and performing projects for mining, civil and environmental projects and establishing a new Tetra Tech NUS office in the Charleston, WV area. Projects will involve site investigations and engineering studies and designs related to mining and environmental projects. The candidate may also be requested to support other project programs such as construction management, oil and gas, watershed restoration, and alternative energy projects. In addition to the West Virginia market, southwestern Virginia and eastern Kentucky will also be areas of focus. Will work with a Tetra Tech NUS Energy and Natural Resources Manager, in cooperation with other Tetra Tech offices, to develop and implement business development strategies; position for bidding opportunities; and prepare proposals, qualification statements, and develop and give oral presentations. The Environmental Project Manager is also expected to serve as a project manager and technical lead. Job Requirements: We require a Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering or related field. Advanced degree is desirable. Successful candidate must have 10 or more years experience in relevant project management, business development and technical assignments and responsibilities. Recent experience working with mining and environmental projects is required. Desired technical experience areas include: wastewater treatment, all phases of permitting and other relevant activities related to supporting mining operations and civil construction projects. Knowledge of geology, rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering is a plus. Must have the relevant technical and management skills to successfully manage and perform the type of projects described above. A PE is preferred. Tetra Tech is an equal opportunity employer.
