Tetra Tech, Inc., a leader in the industry, is currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer for our Louisville, Kentucky office to join our growing Infrastructure Services team. The Structural Engineer will work on challenging opportunities in the structural design of commercial and industrial buildings, parking garages and infrastructure development projects throughout the country.
The primary responsibilities of the Structural Engineer include:
* Independent concrete and steel design of buildings and municipal infrastructure
* Preparation and checking of design calculations of structural systems
* Construction Administration when required by the project
* Ongoing communication with clients from concept to completion
The ideal candidate possesses a BSCE and a minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience, specifically in the design of buildings and municipal infrastructure; familiarity with the design of steel, concrete and foundation systems; an in-depth knowledge of building codes as well as AutoCAD and structural analysis/design programs including RAM, RISA or similar structural programs; and excellent verbal communication skills. Experience with design of post-tensioned structures and tilt-up construction is a plus. A PE or ability to obtain one in the state of Kentucky is required.
