Code: NUS/PGH/Speranza COMPLIANCE DE Division/Department: NUS Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Category: Engineering Responsibilities á Develop and Manager a Regulatory Compliance Department. Hire, develop and mentor staff to develop the department's capabilities, meet the work load, and enhance staff's careers. Maintain Departments' utilization to meet the Pittsburgh Office's Annual Operating Budget. á Develop and grow private sector and government opportunities in regulatory compliance for the Pittsburgh Office. á In cooperation with other department managers, program mangers and the operations manager, develop and implement business strategies, and lead successful bidding opportunities to meet stated business metric goals. á Lead and conduct the sales efforts in the regulatory compliance and/or consulting practice, and be able to personally win at least $250,000 annually of consulting services with commercial and government clients. á Act as the project or program manager and main client contact for any work attained, including - Ensuring timely, quality, and cost-effective work - Maintaining effective client communications - Collecting receivables * Other duties may be assigned Key Skills á Documented experience in developing private or government sector business for an environmental consulting firm. á The ability to develop and lead teams in successful projects and proposals. á Management of large complex projects involving multidiscipline teams of professionals. á High-end consulting experience in all areas of regulatory compliance. á Must demonstrate the ability to attract and retain clients and build backlog, revenue, profit, direct labor and ROI over time. á Possess program and project management capabilities and be able to effectively balancing direct and indirect utilization rates. Personal Skills á High level of written and oral communication skills. á Ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels and disciplines. á Ability to succeed in a team oriented organization interfacing with a variety of different groups to accomplish project objectives. á Experience in recruiting skilled personnel. á Ability to mentor and develop junior staff. á High-energy leader with excellent business sense. á Strong presence and presentation skills. á Team builder with the ability to maximize results from the individuals within the department. á Sets high personal goals and is motivated towards achievement. Education á BS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences, engineering, or geologic sciences. á MS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences, engineering, or geologic sciences (desirable). á MBA in business administration (desirable). á Registration of certification (highly desirable).
