The growing Tetra Tech NUS Norfolk, Virginia Office has an immediate opening for an energetic Environmental Engineer.
Position Summary: The Engineer II position requires a Bachelors degree in engineering and one to 3 years experience in the environmental field. Candidates must be willing and motivated to work in the environmental/engineering consulting business. The work assignments will include a broad range of technical tasks associated with environmental evaluations of commercial/industrial and government owned facilities and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
á Assist in data evaluation and reporting for UST, CERCLA, and RCRA sites.
á Assist with calculations and report preparation under the direction of experienced personnel and perform assigned tasks.
á Involvement as team member on field tasks including multi-media sampling, well installation, landfill maintenance, remediation oversight, IDW management, etc.
á Assist in preparation of subcontract documents, work plans and reports under direction of senior engineers and scientists.
