GEOTECHNICAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER: Raleigh, NC Job ID: 1452 # Positions: 1 Experience (Years): 10 Category: Engineering - Geotechnical Responsibilities: The Raleigh, NC office of ECS seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to function as department manager, and upon board approval, principal engineer. The position could also evolve into that of assistant branch manager. This position requires a commitment to manage the department for growth with a strong emphasis on client development. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of geotechnical engineers and project managers, overseeing geotechnical and field services projects, reviewing reports, preparing proposals for geotechnical services, managing departmental P&L, and assisting senior staff in marketing ECS services by maintaining regular client contact. Candidates with knowledge of the local market strongly preferred. Qualifications: BSCE required; MCSE with geotechnical emphasis strongly preferred 10+ years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience. Must have a NC PE license, or be capable of obtaining local licensure within six months following date of hire. Strong project management, marketing and communication skills required.
