ENGINEERING BRANCH MANAGER: Charleston, SC Job ID: 1454 # Positions: 1 Experience (Years): 10 Category: Engineering - Branch Management Responsibilities: The professional engineer hired for this position will be charged with expanding a small office in the Charleston [Mt. Pleasant] area. Responsibilities position include marketing and business development, technical, managerial and administrative duties for growing an office. The successful candidate will come from Charleston or surrounding areas, be a self-starter with established local contacts, have strong marketing/business development skills and be responsible for client development. Candidates will have a technical background as a geotechnical engineer, have a 'roll-up' your sleeve mentality to get things done, be a team builder with the ability to both bring in and do the work. You will be tasked with getting the firm's name out in the marketplace. The firm has a national footprint, with several other offices located throughout the Carolinas. Relocation may be available, but the ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in the local market. A Professional Engineers license is required for this position. An masters degree in geotechnical engineering is highly preferred. Qualifications: ¥ BSCE/MSCE with a geotechnical engineering preference. ¥ Strong marketing and business development abilities. ¥ 10+ years of technical and managerial experience. ¥ SC Professional Engineer license. ¥ Proven successful P&L responsibility. ¥ Strong leadership skills. ¥ Excellent decision making skills. ¥ Team player - embraces team building. ¥ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
