NATURAL GAS PIPELINE DESIGN ENGINEER: Newburgh, NY Requisition Number: 09-0277 Description: This individual can work at our office locations in Exton, PA or Newburgh, NY. Requirements: We have an immediate need for a Natural Gas Pipeline Design Engineer. The successful candidate will work with clients on natural gas transmission and gathering lines, pumping/compressor stations and storage facility projects. Primary responsibilities include conceptual through final design of natural gas pipelines and related facilities for operations in the Marcellus Shale Play, primarily located in the northern tier of PA and the southern tier of NY. Other duties consist of quality assurance activities for mechanical integrity including in-line inspection, construction document preparation, construction administration, cost estimating, and project management. Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in the routing and design of natural gas pipelines as well as: ¥ Engineering of mainline and midstream pipeline facilities, horizontal directional drills, hydraulic analysis, material specifications, land surveying and GIS ¥ Regulatory agency interaction and coordination ¥ Field experience in troubleshooting facilities and operations and overseeing construction ¥ Willingness to travel extensively as required ¥ Great communication and client relationship skills Education: Candidates must have a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license and FERC experience.
