HYDROGEOLOGIST: Austin, TX

Description:

Kleinfelder's Austin office is looking for a Hydrogeologist to join our team. This position will work in the office and field preparing designs, reports and calculations on highly complex projects. Performs and develops scope for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis. Conducts field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision. Coordinates small to moderate size projects with on-going review and interaction by senior operations/technical staff. Provides training for entry level technicians and professional staff as needed.

Responsibilities include:

¥ Performing groundwater fate/transport modeling and analysis

¥ Conducting aquifer testing and data analysis

¥ Managing site assessment and portions of remediation projects

¥ Designing and install monitoring well networks

¥ Preparing and writing reports for clients and regulatory agencies

¥ Assisting risk assessors in preparing risk assessments for delivery to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC).

Requirements: Minimum 4 years related experience in environmental consulting or related field. Certifications or registrations as a PG, preferred. Advanced knowledge groundwater modeling software, fate and transports software, MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of TCEQ and RRC rules and guidance preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
