OFFICE MANAGER: Irving, TX Requisition Number 08-0163 Description The Texas Region has an immediate opening for an Office Manager to be located in our North Texas portion of the state. This position would be responsible for operations within our current Dallas, Fort Worth, and McKinney offices, which are separated by approximately 70 miles. These three offices have enjoyed a wide range of clients and projects, have a solid reputation and growing line of business, by providing exceptional service to a wide variety of public and private sector clients. Duties for the Office Manager are: * Lead local office teams * Work closely with Regional Manager to develop/implement strategic plan * Execute business plan * Make key hires, provide career development/succession planning for staff * Responsible for client selection, marketing efforts, project delivery/management, health and safety, loss prevention, and quality programs. Requirements 8 years of proven experience managing in a civil engineering/geosciences firm with an emphasis in the geotechnical or environmental field; 5-6 years of designated professional experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. Requires strong leadership skills and enthusiasm for helping others reach their potential. Candidate must at a minimum posses the following: * Commitment to Kleinfelder and our core values * Commitment to the Strategic Plan, health & safety, quality services and staff development * Demonstrated ability to lead individuals toward a common set of goals * Strong understanding of our business including, people, strategy, operations, administration, business development, and finance * Understanding of economic/regulatory/business drivers, the competition and recruiting in a regional market Education Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geology, or related field required. Master's degree or equivalent desired. Professional Engineering or Geoscientist license to practice in TX (or ability to obtain within 6 months) required.
