Description
Our Pleasanton Construction Materials Testing Laboratory is seeking a civil engineer experienced with construction materials testing This is a great opportunity to work in one of the region's most diverse labs along side some of the industry's finest.
In this position you will oversee lab technicians during their work on various projects to insure laboratory testing, associated paperwork and computations are performed accordance with the applicable testing methods. You will also be responsible for ensuring project deadlines are met, providing proper scheduling and organization of items to be tested. You will advise technicians of project work scopes, budgets, profitability goals, chargeability goals, maintain equipment calibrations and monitor the same. We are looking for someone with well-developed interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, someone with a strong sense of client service. The successful candidate will be well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with construction materials testing required for this position. Experience with asphalt hot mix or asphalt emulsion preferred but not required
Requirements
2 - 3 years of related experience required. Maintain required certifications for various disciplines as required (such as ICC, NICET, State DOT, AWS, etc.) General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
