Kleinfelder's Greensboro, NC office is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with experience, skills and interest in developing towards a Project Professional in Kleinfelder. As a technical resource and role model, this position requires a positive attitude and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, regulators, and junior staff.

The ideal candidate must have 3 to 5 years related experience in geotechnical engineering consulting and the ability to provide high-end technical support on complex projects. Strong analytical skills are required in areas including, piedmont soils, deep and shallow foundation design, site preparation, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, ground improvement techniques, and pavement design. Knowledge of infrastructure and heavy civil project design and construction are preferred.
Education
BS and MS in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college/university with a concentration in geotechnical engineering; Professional Registration (PE) or EI with the ability to obtain PE within 1 year preferred. 3-5 years related experience; or 2 years related experience with MS. Advanced knowledge of GRLWEAP, Lpile, Gslope, Schmertmann, AASTHO, related ASTM standards, MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
