Description
Kleinfelder is currently seeking a National Director of Power Generation and Transmission to lead our efforts in this arena. This position can be based out of any one of our Kleinfelder offices. This position will also require extensive travel (approximately 2 to 3 days per week on average).
Provide national leadership and direction for strategically growing Kleinfelder's presence in the Generation & Transmission market sector. Develop "big picture" market intelligence, develop market penetration strategy, nurture high-level client relationships, communicate information to Division and Local Business Development Leads to act on, and organize the overall market approach. Responsibilities include:
¥ Establish strategy, set direction, and oversee implementation of approach for market penetration on a company-wide basis.
¥ Continuously monitor and research market trends, legislative initiatives, funding, potential clients, service needs.
¥ Regularly communicate with the Division and Local Business Development Leads to share market intelligence and assess strategy.
¥ Identify key hires with ability to leverage Kleinfelder in the Major Market Sector.
¥ Become Kleinfelder's national representative in the Generation and Transmission Industry participating in national conferences, seminars and serving in national organizations.
¥ Assist in identifying, pursuing, and winning major projects.
¥ Assist in leveraging national client relationships into strong local relationships.
¥ Coordinate efforts in this market segment with other closely aligned market segments, i.e. alternate/renewable energy and nuclear energy
Requirements
Self starter with a minimum of 10 years experience in the energy industry, with at least 2 years in business development related activities In addition, the candidate must be professional, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills and strategic planning expertise.
Education
The successful candidate will have a BS degree in science, engineering, geology, or marketing. Masters/MBA degree or equivalent preferred.
