GEOLOGIST/ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST: Midland, TX Requisition Number 08-0228 Description The Midland office currently has exciting opportunities available for a geologist or environmental scientist to work as an Environmental Scientist and or Project Manager. Experience working along side the Oil and Gas Industry is highly desirable. The Midland Environmental group is a small but growing group. As a Project Manger in Midland you'll have the opportunity to help set the direction of the Midland Environmental group. As a Project Manager for Kleinfelder you will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's best, tackling technical challenges on diverse projects ranging from site assessments to complex soil and groundwater remediation projects. Clientele include oil and gas companies, wind farm developers/owners, and the Federal Government. The successful candidate should have experience managing various aspects of a project from preparation of the proposal/work plan, coordination of project activities (field or office) with junior staff, preparation/providing oversight of project deliverables, interacting with clients and regulators, and managing project budgets. The successful candidate should have experience in soil/groundwater assessment and remediation, or air permitting, or environmental permitting and planning. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, good technical and communication skills, and is a self-starter. In addition to assisting with local projects, the position will also interact with team members from other Kleinfelder offices on nation-wide assignments. Requirements * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * 5-10 years of experience performing environmental projects * Strong, technical background in subsurface investigations, remediation, site assessments, and permitting * Demonstrated experience providing exceptional client service * Positive work attitude and ability to work efficiently when managing multiple tasks * Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment * Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred. Education B.S. in Earth Sciences or geology required, M.S. preferred. Registrations as required by profession.
