Description
The Hamilton NJ office is seeking a Groundwater Modeler to work a 6 month assignment in Frederick, MD and then transition to the NJ office.
Requirements
Prepares designs, reports and calculations on highly complex projects. Conducts field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision. Coordinates small to moderate size projects with on-going review and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
¥ Provide field, analytical and project coordination support to Senior Personnel
¥ Conduct site preparation, analysis and reporting of aquifer pump tests, slug and infiltration tests.
¥ Provide field support for geotechnical, hydrogeologic and construction dewatering projects
¥ Calculate aquifer hydraulic properties from pump/slug tests and groundwater gradients.
¥ Responsible for beginning to end permeameter testing and analyses.
¥ Evaluate recharge analyses for both pre- and post-development scenarios based on NJDEP GSR-32.
¥ Perform resistivity geophysical surveys including preparation of 2D cross-sectional profiles.
¥ Digitize fracture-trace analysis with aerial photography and cross-sectional mapping.
¥ Fate and transport modeling and 3D visualization of modeling results
Knowledge of AutoCAD 2000, Groundwater Vistas 4, Aquifer Win32, Surfer, AGI EarthImager 2D, Visual CAD and NJDEP GIS mapping and online i-Map.
Education
2+ yr related experience. Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
