Description
The Midland office is located in a rapidly developing area of the country and has been providing geotechnical and construction materials testing services in the local market since 1964. As a Geotechnical Engineer for Kleinfelder you will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's best, tackling technical challenges on diverse projects ranging from simple earthwork to complex work within the transportation and energy industry. Projects include roadways, schools, parks, airports, pump stations, wind farm turbine foundations, and oil field projects.

You will work on commercial, industrial, energy, oil/gas, and transportation projects with time spent both in the field and in the office. Working independently and under the direction of senior staff, you will have the opportunity be involved in all aspects of consulting from proposals to design/build projects. You will have a chance to work with and establish relationships with many key individuals within the local area. This includes State and local governments along with the private sector.

Requirements

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* 2-4 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer

* Technical background in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (foundation design, slope stability, materials testing and engineering)

* Positive work attitude and ability to work efficiently when managing multiple tasks

* Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment

* Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred.

Education
Bachelors Degree in Civil or, Geotechnical Engineering required. M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred. Ability to obtain P.E. Registrations in Texas within 1-2 yrs
