Description
We are seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join us and to make an impact on our staff and organization. This position can be based in any of our Inland Empire or Los Angeles locations: Redlands, Temecula, Irvine, Long Beach, Diamond Bar or Woodland Hills.
Directs technical programs and projects, both multiple and individual, with overall program/project responsibilities. Ensures consistently accurate and timely client and management communications. Resolves abstract problems/difficult technical matters independently and serves as a technical resource throughout the company. Develops and maintains client relationships. As a lead technical specialist in discipline, performs analytical, field and project management work. Manages major proposal coordination, preparation and technical assessment. Provides expert witness testimony and high-level consultation on projects.
Requirements
12+ years of related experience in consulting engineering firm or related service business and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required; or 10 years related experience with an MS; or 8 years related experience with a PhD. Certifications or registrations as available by profession in multiple states and/or nationally. Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Oracle experience preferred. Superior communication skills and in-depth knowledge of company products and operations. High level of technical expertise and knowledge of current scientific information in specialty area. Reputation as subject matter expert based on publications and presentations desired.
Education
B.S. in engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Masters degree preferred.
