Description
Kleinfelder's Albuquerque office is excited to offer opportunities for geologists to support our drilling programs NM, CO and west TX. We are looking to add a staff geologist to our team. Various projects offer geologists the opportunity to learn to conduct and manage the following activities:

* Completion of multi-screen wells to depths of 1500 ft

* Installation of single and multi-zone sampling systems

* Development and rehabilitation of water supply and characterization wells

* Aquifer testing on single-zone and multi-zone systems

* Drilling, logging, and well construction in complex volcanic and sedimentary terrain, including tuff, basalt, dacite, volcaniclastic sediments, fluvial deposits, ancient lacustrine deposits, and alluvial fans

* Operation of geophysical logging tools

* Accurate and thorough documentation of field data

Requirements

Field geologists are responsible for the proper documentation, and submission of all drilling, sampling, and well installation, development, and abandonment data. This includes:

* Coordinating site-specific coring and drilling activities

* Properly preparing and maintaining field notes

* Compiling and submitting daily reports and preparation of the lithologic logs

* Compiling and submitting all drilling forms

* Proper collection, packaging, documentation, and submission of all field sample media (soil cuttings, core, and/or water)

* Conduct daily safety meetings and equipment inspections

* Must be a USA citizen

4-10 years of professional experience preferred. We are looking for individuals who possess problem solving, good writing, and time-management skills; intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and knowledge, interest, and proficiency of volcanic lithology a plus.

Education

BS in Geological Sciences; MS preferred.
