BRIDGE DESIGN ENGINEER: San Jose, CA
Work under direction and supervision of licensed Civil Engineer to survey the plane with topography methods, analyze material (steel, concrete and timber), soil (draining, settlement, strength bearing capacity, stability and lateral earth pressure), and environmental factors to help in designing bridges. Collect and organize construction data and manage project materials, using computer skills, such as data structure and object oriented design technologies, and drafting tools like AutoCAD. Require: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework or project background in bridge design using steel and timber, plane surveying, soil mechanics, data structure, object oriented design and CAD programming.
