ENERGY MASTER PLANNER 7: Dallas, TX Requisition ID: 9626BR Job Description: CDM has an immediate need in our Dallas, TX office for an Energy Master Planner with project management, energy efficiency, alternative energy and greenhouse gas experience. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by: * Leading teams to conduct energy audits, energy efficiency evaluations, greenhouse gas inventories and studies, and implementation of energy master plans, and energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. * Assisting clients with solving critical energy production and use problems, and recommending solutions possibly requiring major planning efforts and/or public consensus building. * Providing leadership in CDM's Integrated Energy Management practice. * Partner with clients to help them win grants, save money, and become sustainability leaders. * Responsible for development and financial execution of energy management projects, including energy auditing, energy modeling for building design, renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, and greenhouse gas management projects. * Perform studies and analysis to achieve cost effective and reliable technical solutions for clients. - Design energy management plans/programs, greenhouse gas management, climate change action plans, for variety of clients. * Recommending the facilities, personnel, and funds required to implement programs. * Managing large projects or large phases of projects. Taking full project management responsibilities. * Visualizing and assuming responsibility for new business development activities for energy master planning projects. * Devising new approaches to problems encountered and coordinating various technical aspects of work. * Acting as a recognized leader of technical and professional staff. Job Requirements: * 12-15 years of experience (since Bachelor's degree) in energy analysis, planning and/or engineering. * Project experience with the petrochemical industry a plus * Membership in at least one national professional society required. Professional society leader preferred. * Bachelor's degree in arts, planning, engineering, or a science required. * Master's degree in planning, engineering, science, or environmental science/ management preferred. * Certification or Master's degree in specialty field (where Certification is not applicable) is required.
