CIVIL ENGINEER - DAM/LEVEE/LARGE CIVIL WORKS: Sacramento, CA

Job Description: CDM is looking for a Civil Engineer with emphasis in Geotechnical/Structural Engineering with experience in Dam, Levee and Large Civil Works projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

¥ Acting in a supervisory position and/or leading a group or technical team as project or task manager involved with the inspection, permitting, monitoring, writing EAPs, design, removal, rehabilitation of new and existing dams and levee systems

¥ Assist with business development in a multi-disciplined team environment and growing services in this market

¥ Author technical papers on topics of recent interest in the industry and presenter at industry-related conferences

¥ Manage and effectively develop junior and/or mid level technical staff

Location (Open) with preference for CDM's offices in Sacramento, CA; Cambridge, MA; Kansas City, MO; and Dallas, TX

Job Requirements: ¥ Senior Level Engineer with minimum of 10 -13 years since B.S. degree obtained

¥ Master of Science in Engineering with emphasis in geotechnical engineering and/or structural engineering.

¥ Experience having full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, budgeting and coordinating complex assignments including those involved with dams, levees, large civil works and/or projects with significant elements of water resources, i.e., canals, reservoirs, pipelines, intake structures embankments, spillways, etc.

¥ Experience with developing and planning projects concerned with unique or controversial projects requiring applying both technical and regulatory requirements to solve project issues

¥ P.E. License

¥ Recognized or emerging leader in technical area involved in the inspection, design and/or construction oversight of dams, levees, earthen embankments, and large civil earthworks and/or water resources facilities.

¥ Good to Excellent written and verbal communications skills in a technical environment

¥ Experience in business development, proposals and presentations to clients, regulatory authorities and owners highly desirable

¥ Willing to travel
