Job Description: As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by: Taking personal responsibility for safety in the working environment and promoting safety among your peers, subordinates, and supervisors Facilitating staff development by serving as a mentor and role model Providing training, support, guidance, and assistance in goal setting Acting as a mentor regarding safety to promote safety among your peers and subordinates Through lower level project managers, ensuring that projects are built on schedule and within budget Managing vendors and subcontractors Monitoring/controlling construction through administrative direction of on-site management and/or lower level project managers Investigating potentially serious situations and field-related engineering problems and implementing corrective measures Coordinating activities with other members of project team Establishing project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards Developing budgets and schedules Establishing staffing levels Overseeing the management of financial aspects of contracts Adhering to budget as work progresses Subcontracting negotiations Procuring equipment and materials Negotiating purchase orders Approving invoices and time sheets Possibly developing or overseeing the development of bid proposals, including labor, equipment, and materials Providing initial client contact to assess the scope of work and resources required to successfully complete projects Preparing complete estimates for projects and developing bid letters for prospective clients Developing/managing relationships with existing and prospective clients Initiating new project development opportunities Maintaining continual open communications with clients Representing the company in project meetings Performing additional duties as assigned Supervising project managers and site management staff, depending on the assigned project

Job Requirements: Qualifications: (Minimum education, experience, license requirements) Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field. Minimum 15 years experience in construction or project management. Individual must hold or have the ability to obtain a General Contractors license. Professional Engineer License is a plus. Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements: Extensive knowledge of industry practices, processes, design, finance, and management. Significant business acumen. Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards. Superior communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills essential. Basic personal computer skills including Primavera, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook or similar software. Equipment Used: Personal computer.
